Melissa Airhart

Melissa Airhart is an Account Executive here at KTBS 3 and has been on the Sales Team for the past two years. She loves working with her clients and helping their businesses and events thrive and succeed.

This isn’t Melissa’s first time working for the station – she worked years ago in News as a Producer. She’s one of our many employees who have returned to KTBS and consider it home.

Raised as an Air Force brat, Melissa lived and traveled all over before arriving in Louisiana. After moving to Shreveport from New Mexico, she graduated from Louisiana State University Shreveport with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with an emphasis on Public Relations and Journalism.

Melissa has extensive experience within the media industry. Before coming to KTBS for the first time, she completed internships at KTAL (where she learned she didn’t like being in front of the camera) and The Shreveport Times. She went on to report for The Times on both the Entertainment and Business desks. Melissa has also served as the editor for the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier’s Parishscope Magazine, written for 318 Forum Magazine, and was a content creator for a local digital marketing firm.

Melissa is an active alumna of Phi Mu Fraternity, serving as chapter advisor to the Epsilon Xi Chapter at LSUS and several other positions on their Advisory Board, and as an Area Operations & Finance Director and an Area Housing Specialist. She is also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier and a member of the Krewe of Justinian.

Melissa is the proud mother of three and loves Broadway musicals, all things Disney, live music, and the most wonderful time of the year – Mardi Gras! She is a social butterfly, so be sure to say hello if you see her out and about!
